This instrumental album by famed guitarist Fred Carter, Jr., was produced by Bobby. From his liner notes:
“When my record company asked me to produce an instrumental album of my songs, I immediately thought of
Fred Carter, Jr. I wanted someone who could express, on record, what I had in mind when I wrote these songs,
and Fred did just that.”
Carter played on several Bobby Goldsboro recordings, and Bobby produced other Carter instrumental records (including
a version of “Autumn of My Life” in 1969).

This album of instrumental versions was produced by Bobby Goldsboro for his Viking Records enterprise. From the liner
notes:
“The songs of Bobby Goldsboro have a melodic beauty all their own. Here they are given a new dimension, a new
depth, a new warmth in the performance of The Camelot Strings. Graced by the arrangements of Don Tweedy, who
scored so many of Bobby’s biggest hits, they are Bobby Goldsboro personified.”
Two singles, “It’s Too Late” (#102 b/w “Muddy Mississippi Line”) and “Muddy Mississippi Line” (#1002 b/w “With Pen in
Hand”) were released.
